A library consisting of the first 100 books recommended to Callanan by Amazon, based on everything he read and bought since the online retail giant first launched its recommendation algorithm over 15 years ago.

At Vitsœ the books are displayed on Dieter Rams’s 606 Universal Shelving System. To accompany the installation, Callanan has produced a pamphlet, including the text Tangible Algorithms of the Everyday by Marialaura Ghidini, and a full index of the 100 books. A limited number of copies are available to visitors.

Made possible with the Philip Leverhulme Prize, awarded by The Leverhulme Trust.
